Lael's Shower

Above is a picture taken during the Shower our small group hosted for my sweet new niece, Kadi Lael Vaughn. For more details on Lael's story I suggest that you click on the "The Vaughns" link. The shower went great and the Vaughns were certainly blessed. We look forward to getting everything to them.

We (Emille and I) are so thankful and humbled by the outpouring of generosity by our church and small group for these poeple that we love so much, but whom our church does not even know.

Thanks Again.

Okay, so that shows you how out of the loop I am on your life. I didn't know that your sister had adopted! I just read their blog for awhile and got a little detail. Lael is so incredibly cute. Give me more detail when you have a minute. Oh, and I'm saddened to see I'm no longer worthy to be in your "links" list. Boo hoo.

Sam........
We are so blessed by you and Emille and by all of your friends and church family at Fairfax!!! It is still hard to comprehend what all took place on the day of Lael's shower........such generosity from people who do not know us...that is how the Lord works!!
I am so glad to see all the pictures of your beautiful family!!! What gorgeous girls!
I love seeing you too and seeing that precious Bailey smile in her Daddy's arms! I think some of my favorites are of Bailey backing out the mini-van!! I love looking at every picture. Keep posting!!!
Love you so much!

Hey Sam! It is good to hear from you! Your kiddos are adorable! Two little girls! Who would have thought! Seriously, your girls are beautiful, and I want to see more pictures. You are so blessed!

Anyway, Luke is back from Japan now. He is in San Diego again and is supposed to be out of the military at the end of the year. He was in the metroplex a couple of weeks ago and got to meet Jackson for the first time. Sadly, he is getting a divorce. I won't say anything else except that it is definitely not his fault. No kids, so that is good. He is doing well though, and I will tell him that you asked about him!

Well, I think Luke is going to move back to the Metroplex, and he has mentioned trying to get a job working on airplanes. Actually, he will probably live at our old house because noone currently lives there. I assume somebody will have a need for a hydraulics mechanic. He has gotten several certifications while in the military because he knows it will help him get a job when he gets out. Do you think you guys will ever move back to Texas, or do you love the DC area?

Kate-

I am glad to hear that Luke will be moving back to TX. I am sure that there is a need for someone with his skills at DFW or Love Field or Meecham Field, or Alliance Airport or...you get the point.

Rgarding your question, Emille and I would both love to move back to TX but do not see it happpening for a few years. We miss it a lot and are looking forward to being at ACU in December for my brother Andy's graduation.
